Meat-producing goat breeds

Chevon: Chevon is the French word for goat. These are animals that are slaughtered near or shortly after weaning.

Boer goat, originate from south Africa, most popular meat producer. White body and an instinctive brown head.

Anglo-Nubian goat, originate from Great Britain, various colors, looping ears, and short legs.

Black bengal goat: Could be found in brown, white and gray colors. Small in size and short legs, poor in milk production. Produce high quality meat and skin, and prolificacy.

Fainting goat: small , easier to handle . Some has them as pets. some of the goats can produce cashmere.

Kiko goat: Originate from New Zealand, and are parasite resistant. Dual purpose.
